Cougar Mountain Sponsors Food Drive

November 20, 2006- The FCCLA will be holding a Food Drive at Cougar Mountain from November 20 to December 8. Students and staff are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to their first period classes. These food items will be collected by members of the FCCLA and distributed to local families and charitable organizations.
To encourage students to bring in items, a friendly class competition will be held among first period classes. The top three classes that bring in the greatest number of food items will be awarded a special prize.
Additionally, Cougar Mountain will be competing with Bethel Junior High to see what school can donate more items. The school that accumulates the most will watch the other school's ASB officers and ASB advisor dance the "Chicken Dance" at their next school assembly while wearing the other school's colors.
Special thanks to the FCCLA for running this wonderful community event and to those students and staff members who have contributed to the food drive.
