FCCLA Students Raise Pennies for Leukemia Patients

May 16, 2007 - The Cougar Mountain FCCLA Club (Family Careers Community Leaders of America) are participating in a community service project this May. They will be raising money for Leukemia patients. Members of the FCCLA will be distributing collection containers in classrooms to raise "Pennies for Patients." The money raised will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Coins or dollar bills can be donated by placing them in the designated containers in classrooms around the school. A friendly competition will be encourage among sixth period classes. The sixth period classes (top three) that raise the most money will receive snow cones. The "Pennies for Patients" campaign will run two weeks from May 14 to May 25.
