Cougar Mountain Jr. High teachers were a hit at the recent state education conference in Seattle. Their presentation,"How to Use Effective Team Teaching to Meet the Demands of No Child Left Behind," included Chris English, Lisa Olnes, Kathy Christianson, Nancy Tengesdal, Lori Wolff, Jay Hirst, Kevin Mensonides, Kris O'Malley, Cliff Anderson, Bill O'Malley and Jeff Gutfeld.
More than 125 people attended two presentations. The conference is designed to share information about teaching and learning by highlighting best practices across the state.
"It was an outstanding representation of the quality work being done to serve students in our district," said Mike Brophy, assistant superintendent. "It emphasized that students respond differently to teaching styles and will often identify with one teacher in a teaming situation to best fit their needs. I was very proud to be a part of Team Bethel watching this presentation."
