CMJH Students March in Daffodil Parade
April 24 , 2006 - Cougar Mountain Junior High band students, cheerleaders, dance team members, staff members, and volunteer parents marched in the 2006 Daffodil Parade on Saturday, April 22 in downtown Puyallup and Orting. Over 160 students participated in the Parade festivities on a sunny and warm April day. The warm, sunny weather is unusual at the annual Daffodil Parade.
The parade was broadcast on local television (channel 11) on Saturday.
Mr. Jim Craig, the band director at CMJH, had been practicing with his students for several weeks in preparation for the event. Cougar Mountain was the 159th entry to march out of a field of over 165 total parade entries.
Mr. Craig commented on the day, "The Daffodil Parade was a great success. Beautiful weather, great kids, and lots of wonderful chaperones. Who could ask for anything else! Congratulations to all the parade participants and a big thank you to Cougar Mountain Staff for giving us the time to put it all together."
