At Cougar Mountain Junior High, teachers work together to find new and better ways for all students to learn. Curriculum integration takes place in many areas, and students then apply what they learned into a project, report, speech, or other kind of assessments.
Seventh and Eighth grade students take Communication Arts, Social Studies, and Math for two semesters. Seventh graders take one semester of Physical Education and one semester of Health.
Honors is available to students meeting the established requirements.
Ninth grade students take one semester of Washington State History followed by one semester of Physical Science. Ninth grade students also take one semester of Digi-tools and one semester of Family and Consumer Science. They take one full year of Math, Communication Arts, and Physical Education.
